Ever since star Syracuse University athlete Myer Prinstein collected a gold in the triple jump and a silver in the long jump at the 1900 Paris Olympics, there has been a frequent Orange presence at the Summer Olympics. Our alumni have participated in nearly every sport, from basketball, soccer and field hockey to softball, rowing and the hammer throw.

The Tokyo Games will be no exception. Six former Syracuse University student-athletes are geared up to go for gold in the Tokyo Olympics, including Kayla Alexander '13 (basketball, Canada), Jenna Caira '12 (softball, Canada), Jerami Grant '15 (basketball, United States), Justyn Knight '18 (track & field, Canada), Hattie Taylor '17 (rowing, Great Britan) and Katie Hursey Zafares '12 (track & field United States).
