Syracuse, N.Y. -- Late on a recent summer's night, Syracuse women's basketball coach Quentin Hillsman hit the pause button on a video review of an upcoming opponent to address the biggest challenge of his season.
Somewhere, somehow, Hillsman has to find another Brianna Butler or Brittney Sykes, an Alexis Peterson, Isabella Slim or Briana Day. Unearthing even one newcomer with the potential of those foundational vets who have departed over the past two seasons would be great.
Slotting in a combination of great replacements would be even more preferable, and perhaps even necessary to keep the national-caliber Orange near the heights it's reached over the past two seasons.
