DURHAM, N.C.- In a match up that featured the two winningest coaches in NCAA Basketball history, host Duke used 14 3-pointers to help defeat Syracuse, 79 -59. Syracuse falls to 9-10 overall, 3-5 ACC while Duke improves to 15-3 overall, 5-2 ACC.
Jesse Edwards produced 12 points along with Jimmy Boeheim, both scoring in double digits for the 13th time this season. Edwards shot 6-8 (.750) from the field and contributed nine rebounds and four steals.
Five Duke players scored in double figures, four scoring 15 points apiece.
