Orange Come up Short Against Panthers

PITTSBURGH, PA.- Despite another double figure scoring performance from Buddy Boeheim with a game high of 25 points, Syracuse (9-11 overall, 3-6 ACC) came up short resulting in a 64-53 loss to Pittsburgh (8-12, overall, 3-6 ACC).

Two Panthers produced double-doubles including sophomore forward John Hugley who scored 11 points and recorded a career high 18 rebounds. Mouhamadou Gueye contributed 19 points and 10 rebounds.

HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED
An offensive spark from the Panthers in the second half resulted in a 10-0 run led by Jamarius Burton. Femi Odukale sunk the field goal to go ahead of the Orange 41-40 with 11:42 remaining in the contest.
