Only two schools can beat Syracuse basketball's 5-year run of 1st-round picks

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse University can boast an active 5-year streak of having a player selected in the first round of the NBA draft.

Kentucky and Duke are the only schools with longer runs of first-round picks.

Syracuse's current line of first-round draft picks began in 2012 when both Dion Waiters (No. 4 overall) and Fab Melo (No. 22) were selected. In 2013, Michael Carter-Williams was the 11th player taken in the draft. In 2014, the Phoenix Suns took Tyler Ennis with the No. 18 pick.

In 2015, the Brooklyn Nets used the No. 29 pick on SU freshman forward Chris McCullough.
