For SU women's basketball team, last season ended at the hands of the South Carolina Gamecocks in the NCAA Tournament's Round of 32. The Syracuse Orange will look to avenge that loss in the 2016 Sweet Sixteen.
The Orange played the Gamecocks twice last season, both resulting in wins for SC. The Orange lost by only four in the first meeting between the two programs. The second match-up did not go as well for the Orange, as South Carolina ran away with a 97-68 victory.
