Syracuse, N.Y. — Missouri defensive lineman Harold Brantley, who at one time was committed to Syracuse football's 2012 recruiting class, suffered severe injuries in a car accident Sunday afternoon in Missouri.

A crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says Brantley was driving a 2000 Chrysler Concorde when he traveled off the left side of the road, overcorrected and slid off the right side of the road, striking a guard rail and overturning.

Missouri women's basketball player Maddie Stock was a passenger in the vehicle. Neither wore a seat belt, according to the report.
