Long-Distance Attack Leads Orange

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse unleashed a long-distance attack and took advantage of 15 3-pointers to defeat Division II Daemen, 90-71, in an exhibition game at the Dome. Redshirt junior Elijah Hughes topped the Orange with 24 points.

THE FIRST FIVE
Coach Jim Boeheim opened the contest with the same first five that he employed during the four-game exhibition slate in Italy. Sophomores Buddy Boeheim and Jalen Carey manned the backcourt spots, junior Bourama Sidibe jumped center and the forward spots were handled by redshirt junior Elijah Hughes and freshman Quincy Guerrier.
