While the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team announced another non-conference game on Monday, it was also announced that the man responsible for scheduling most of them in recent years is no longer with the program.
Following a release around the hire of Peter Corasaniti as the Orange’s director of basketball operations, SU also noted that Kip Wellman — who’s held the role since 2013 — would be leaving the program to pursue other opportunities.
Normally, this isn’t earth-shattering news, and it may not be here. But Wellman’s tenure was notable for adjusting how Syracuse schedules.
