Former Syracuse football star quarterback Kyle McCord got off to a rough start in his NFL debut.
The 6-foot-3, 218-pound McCord, suiting up for the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, completed 1-of-5 passes for eight yards and one interception in limited reps.
The Eagles, playing at home on Thursday night in a preseason game, defeated the Cincinnati Bengals by a final count of 34-27. Philadelphia, in the 2025 NFL Draft, selected McCord in the sixth round, at No. 181 overall.
Playing for the Eagles is a homecoming for McCord, as he was a five-star prep recruit who starred for a Philadelphia-based high school program.
