Syracuse Orange graduate transfer John Gillon hit a shot that will go down in SU basketball history.
But what’s more impressive than that? He called it one day prior in a text message with former high school teammate and Duke Blue Devil Rasheed Sulaimon.
In the message to Sulaimon, Gillon promised an Orange win and also said he would give Sulaimon a shout-out, according to Mike Waters.
“I’m going to beat Duke,” the message read. “I’m going to shout you out after the game.”
