Incoming Syracuse Orange men’s basketball freshman Benny Williams was named to the Jordan Brand Classic roster over the weekend. Williams, a 6-foot-8 forward from Maryland, is the No. 29 ranked recruit in the 2021 class by 247. He’s Syracuse’s highest rated recruit since Chris McCullough in 2014.
The Jordan Brand game will not be played this year due to pandemic, but rosters were still announced. Williams played last season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Current Syracuse center Jesse Edwards also played one season of high school basketball at IMG.
