Hughes Named ECAC Player of the Year

Syracuse redshirt junior Elijah Hughes has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division I Player of the Year. Hughes also earned a first-team All-ECAC slot.

Hughes is coming off a season that saw him earn all-district recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and the United States Basketball Writers of America, plus first team All-ACC. He led the ACC in scoring, averaging 19.0 points per game. He also won conference statistical crowns for points (609), field goal attempts (465) and minutes played (1,175:11). Hughes scored in double digits in 30-of-32 contests.
