Syracuse, N.Y. -- James Southerland will play for the Utah Jazz in the NBA's summer league, according to his agent.
Southerland, the former Syracuse University basketball player, spent this past season with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA's D-League. He averaged 13.7 points per game for Santa Cruz, while also making 39.2 percent of his 3-point attempts.
Southerland's agent, Andy Shiffman of Priority Sports, said on Tuesday that the former Syracuse forward would be with the Jazz this summer.
The Jazz will play in the NBA's summer leagues in both Utah (July 3-6) and Las Vegas (July 7-17).
