The Syracuse football team has been well represented lately with their former products as it pertains to the NFL. Much of that attribution can be directed to the New York Jets organization.
Shortly after the 2017 NFL Draft, the Jets made it a priority to bring Brisly Estime into the building. He was impressing coaches early in rookie minicamps and Jets OTA’s before suffering a torn Achilles.
Estime was placed on IR and will miss the entire season. Now the Jets have decided to pick up another former Syracuse product.
Shamarko Thomas hasn’t been at SU since the 2012 season, but he has made his money as a backup safety on the Pittsburgh Steelers (2013-2016).
