Syracuse, N.Y. -- Former Syracuse football safety Shamarko Thomas signed with the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday, the team announced.

After serving as a reserve safety and core special teamer in Pittsburgh for four seasons, he signed a free agent contract with the New York Jets this offseason before being cut during training camp.
