Former Syracuse defensive tackle Ryan Sloan will use his final season of eligibility at Stony Brook, he announced via Instagram Tuesday night.
Sloan decided to leave SU after multiple negative experiences, he told Syracuse.com in March. Among those reasons were he felt pressured to transfer by the coaching staff in 2013, was told he’d be held out of the following preseason camp if he didn’t make a certain weight and wasn’t guaranteed a fifth year of eligibility late in his fourth year.
