Former Syracuse basketball forward Andrew White scores 37 in G League debut

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Andrew White had quite a night.

The former Syracuse basketball forward scored 37 points Friday in his Maine Red Claws' 118-109 defeat of Delaware on the G League's opening night.

White came off the bench and played 32 minutes in the game. He was 13-for-21 overall, 4-of-6 from the 3-point line and 7-of-7 from the free throw line. Many of his points Friday night came by creating off the dribble, something White rarely did at SU.

White went to training camp with the Boston Celtics, who waived him on Oct. 12. The Red Claws are the Celtics' G League franchise.
