Ex-Westhill standout part of Syracuse soccer's latest class of recruits

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Former Westhill midfielder Michael Lantry was announced as part of the incoming class of recruits for Syracuse soccer.

Lantry plays for the USSDA Empire United team and is rated the No. 137 recruit by Top Drawer Soccer and No. 4 recruit in New York.

He plays both central defender and defensive midfielder. In 2016-17, he scored eight goals in 18 games for the U16 Empire United academy team.

"Michael is a talented player and we have closely observed his personal development over the last few years," Orange coach Ian McIntyre said in a statement.
