Syracuse, N.Y. -- Malachi Richardson, the former Syracuse University player, is entering a key summer with the Toronto Raptors in the NBA's Summer League.
Richardson, who has spent the last two years splitting time between the NBA and the G-League, will play for the Toronto Raptors' team in the NBA's Las Vegas Summer League.
Toronto acquired Richardson from the Sacramento Kings in a trade last February. After the trade, Richardson played in 12 games for Toronto's G-League franchise, the Raptors 905. He appeared in one NBA game for Toronto.
Richardson, who was the No. 22 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft after helping Syracuse get to the Final Four as a freshman, has two years remaining on his rookie contract.
