As the faxes were rolling in this morning, two unanticipated additions to the Syracuse Orange signing class inked their letters of intent. Hailing from Germany, tight end Maximillian Mang and offensive tackle Mark Petry both signed for the Orange.
Mang is a tight end on a huge frame. The 6-foot-7, 253-pound prospect hails from Berlin, Germany and was offered right at the end of the signing period by Dino Babers and staff. His list of interested schools included Penn State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Toledo and UMass. In Berling he played with the Berlin Rebels as a tight end and defensive end.
