Dino Babers: Blurred vision, not hit to head, sidelined Syracuse QB Eric Dungey

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Syracuse football quarterback Eric Dungey left the team's 30-7 win over Florida State due to blurred vision, head coach Dino Babers said in his press conference.

The helmet to-helmet hit that Dungey took from FSU's Cyrus Fagan on his final play "had nothing to do with" his departure, Babers said. Rather, Dungey suffered an eye irritation earlier in the second quarter that Babers decided he couldn't play though.

"He just had blurred vision and you could see one or two plays, I kind looked at him like, 'Where's the ball going? That looked kind of weird,'" Babers said.
