Carmelo Anthony's Knicks sniffing a playoff berth, seem to have risen from the dead

Syracuse, N.Y. — There's always time for disaster to strike, and Carmelo Anthony could yet decide to go diva at any moment. But we're just past the halfway mark in this NBA regular season and fairness demands that the New York Knicks be given a round of applause.

This may only merit a golf clap from some, but still.

The Knicks won again on Monday, if only over the laughable Philadelphia 76ers (by a score of 119-113 and in double overtime, no less). But they won for the seventh time in their last 11 starts to climb to 21-22 and to within 1 1/2 games of a playoff berth in the Eastern Conference.
