Boeheim’s Army advanced to the Super 16 on Sunday after a nail-biting win over Team Fancy, 60-55 in the TBT (The Basketball Tournament).
The 2-3 zone was able to slow down Team Fancy, who scored 85 points in their opening round game. However, Boeheim’s Army was also halted offensively, scoring 30 points less than the day before.
Both teams struggled from the floor in the first quarter, with Team Fancy taking an early lead, 15-10. However, the former ‘Cuse squad put up 20 points in the second quarter, taking in a halftime lead, 30-29.
The third quarter was back and forth, with both teams trading buckets for the entire 10 minutes.
