Boeheim's Army adds a new player: He's a guy GM Kevin Belbey has coveted

Syracuse, N.Y. -- Over the years, Kevin Belbey has kept two big men on his perennial list of potential Boeheim's Army centers:

Arinze Onuaku and Rakeem Christmas.

This summer, he's getting one of those wishes.

Onuaku has agreed to play for Boeheim's Army.

"Game changer," Belbey said today at Melo Center, where the Army was working out.

Onuaku, the 6-foot-9 center, has finished his season in the Philippines, perhaps a bit earlier than he anticipated. His team just lost in the playoffs. He and Belbey have been communicating about his open invitation to Syracuse's The Basketball Tournament squad.
