After escaping We Are D3 on Friday night, Boehiem’s Army had a 15 hour turnaround in TBT 2019 to compete against Gael Nation, a team of Iona basketball alumni. The former Syracuse Orange guys got off to another sluggish start, but didn’t dig as deep of a hole as it did on Friday and walked out with an 84-74 win.
An inauspicious start put the Syracuse guys behind 20-19 after the first quarter, but six turnovers from Gael Nation and five early points from Eric Devendorf helped keep things close. Devendorf was hot from the get go, attacking off the dribble and knocking down shots from range.
