Whenever the Syracuse basketball team takes on the Georgetown Hoyas each season, it’s normally a contest that is packed full of excitement. Saturday’s matchup between the two schools inside the Carrier Dome was no different.
After a sluggish first half, the Orange found their touch in the second half and were able to escape the Dome with a 72-71 win over Georgetown. The win is Syracuse’s fifth in a row and they are now 7-2 this season.
During the first 20 minutes of the game, it didn’t even seem like the Orange even had a chance to leave the Carrier Dome with a win on Saturday.
