As Syracuse basketball fans stress out, Jim Boeheim and players stay cool

Detroit -- Ever wonder what happens during Syracuse's late timeouts in tight, tense basketball games?

The Orange has experienced plenty of those during its 2017-18 season. On Sunday, it's drive to the Sweet 16 against Michigan State was not determined until a final Spartans' heave failed to fall.

Syracuse players described the demeanor of Jim Boeheim as calm and collected during moments of great stress.

"He just told us to limit the turnovers, be smart and always think about making the right play," SU center Paschal Chukwu said. "Toward the end of these games, you don't want to make a stupid mistake.
