Bobby Hurley played at Duke from 1989 to 1993. He helped the Blue Devils to back-to-back national championships in 1991 and 1992. He was the Most Outstanding Player in the 1992 Final Four.
As a freshman, Hurley started on a Duke team that advanced to the NCAA title game, but lost to UNLV.
In the course of his four-year career at Duke, Hurley faced Syracuse one time.
Early in the 1989-90 season, which would have been Hurley's freshman year, Duke played Syracuse in Greensboro, N.C., as part of the ACC-Big East Challenge.
Over 25 years after facing Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim as a player, Hurley will go up against the Hall of Famer as the opposing coach.
