It’s hard to find the words to describe what happened in the ACC this past weekend. Some teams played like their season was on the line (because it was), while others failed to show up at all, even if their season was also on the line. We were left to re-evaluate things, which led to a shake up in the power rankings.
1. SMU (last week: 2)
Could the Mustangs be the ACC’s best chance to make noise in the College Football Playoff? They blew the doors off Louisville on Saturday, and despite some unfortunate losses, SMU has some impressive wins on its resume.
