Tributes have been paid to a former footballer who was found dead in a car.
Kieron Durkan, who played for the likes of Wrexham and Swansea City, was tragically discovered in the early hours of Wednesday at a Cheshire beauty spot.
The 44-year-old, described as a gifted winger, also played as a youngster at Crewe Alexandra.
Sportsmail understands that Cheshire Police spoke to Durkan, 44, when they investigated former Crewe coach Barry Bennell in 1997.
