Swansea 'make contact with Arsenal over signing highly-rated forward Folarin Balogun on loan'... with 19-year-old's entering final six months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium

Premier League promotion-chasing Swansea City have contacted Arsenal regarding a loan move for striker Folarin Balogun, according to reports.

The 19-year-old is highly-rated at the Emirates Stadium but has just six months left to run on his contract and has yet to agree a new deal after becoming frustrated at his lack of game time.

Top-flight champions Liverpool have also been linked with signing the England youth international on a free transfer, but now Football Insider claim Steve Cooper's men have enquired about a move for the striker.

The Championship side - who were relegated from the Premier League in 2018 - are keen to add to their attacking options this month, and looked set to signing Michael Obafemi before the Southampton forward suffered an injury.
