Premier League round-up: Leaders Manchester City widen gap, while Chelsea and Liverpool win

Manchester City extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to nine points after seeing off Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Pep Guardiola’s side broke the deadlock just before half time when Gabriel Jesus poked home from David Silva’s square cross.

And City stretched their advantage further following the interval when Kevin De Bruyne emphatically lashed home from the edge of the box.

The result leaves the Citizens with a near perfect start to the campaign, collecting 11 wins from their opening 12 games, as Guardiola aims to claim the title in his second season in England.
