Ben Foster wants to stay at West Bromwich Albion beyond the summer as part of a core group prepared to battle hard for promotion from the Championship.
A squad overhaul is expected in the summer, with a number of player contracts containing relegation release clauses, and West Brom want to appoint a young head coach with fresh ideas.
‘If the worst comes to the worst and we end up in the Championship next season we’ve got to bounce back up, it’s as simple as that,’ said Foster.
‘I’d like to keep a core of the players that really want to dig in and work hard to get out of the Championship, because it is a tough fight as well.
