CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND-UP: Relegation-fodder Blackpool decimate QPR, new manager Chris Wilder oversees his first Watford win, and Wigan force a late equaliser against Coventry to move off the bottom of the table

Gareth Ainsworth was humiliated by the seaside on Tuesday evening as his Queens Park Rangers side shipped six goals at Championship strugglers Blackpool.

Jerry Yates’ third-minute penalty got the evening off to the worst possible start for Ainsworth, appointed as QPR boss last month, before Andrew Lyons and Curtis Nelson put the home side, third from bottom, 3-0 up inside 14 minutes.

Jordan Thorniley made it four after 36 minutes before Chris Martin gave the visitors a sliver of hope before half-time.

Lyons added his second three minutes after the restart before Kenneth Dougall capped off a memorable night for Mick McCarthy’s Blackpool by adding a sixth two minutes from time.
