Bruno Lage holds talks with Wolves over their vacant hotseat after Nuno Espirito Santo walked away from Molineux... but the former Benfica boss is not the only candidate as the club look to kickstart a new era

Bruno Lage has held initial talks with Wolves about succeeding Nuno Espirito Santo as the club’s manager.

Sportsmail understands Lage, who was in charge of Benfica for 18 months until June 2020 and also had spells as assistant manager at Swansea and Sheffield Wednesday, has been in England for an interview, though the process is expected to take two to three weeks and he is not the only candidate.

Lage, 45, left Benfica last summer and is thought to have turned down a number of opportunities since. He led the Lisbon giants to the league title in 2019 before departing a year later.
