Sunderland manager David Moyes says Jose Mourinho must deliver Champions League football to Manchester United this year as he defends his Old Trafford record

David Moyes insists Jose Mourinho has to deliver Champions League football at Manchester United after defending his own record at Old Trafford.

The Sunderland manager countered claims his career has been in terminal decline since his nightmare 12 months at United saw him sacked as three years ago.

The 53-year-old is convinced his best is yet to come as he prepares to oversee a massive rebuilding job at the Championship-bound Wearside club, who are cut adrift at the bottom of the Premier League after winning one of their last 15 games.
