Sunderland manager David Moyes felt the scoreline was harsh on his side after Saturday afternoon's 4-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Stadium of Light.
Alexis Sanchez gave the Gunners the lead, but the Black Cats hauled themselves level through a Jermain Defoe penalty, before a brace from Olivier Giroud and another Sanchez strike killed the game.
Moyes told Sky Sports 1: "I think it was tough and I certainly don't think we deserved to lose 4-1. We worked hard, really hard to stay in the game first half when Arsenal were very good.
