Sunderland and Crystal Palace have considered late moves for Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic.
The stylish 6ft 3in centre-back saw a transfer to Torino fall through in the summer and is still wanted by the Italians.
Spanish side Espanyol, who are coached by former Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores, are also interested in the imposing defender and are looking at the option of bringing him to La Liga.
Simunovic, 22, has overcome a knee injury and made 20 appearances this season.
