Sunderland 1-2 Burton: Darren Bent and Liam Boyce score late goals to send Blacks Cats down to League One

Sunderland's second successive relegation was confirmed in the most dramatic of circumstances on Saturday as Darren Bent and Liam Boyce struck late goals for Burton at the Stadium of Light.

Bent, a former Black Cat, emerged from the bench to cancel out Paddy McNair's opening goal before Boyce struck the winner in the 93rd minute.

Although six points away from safety with two games remaining, the fact that Bolton and Barnsley will play each other means Sunderland are officially relegation to League One.
