Sunderland 0-3 Everton: Romelu Lukaku ends six-month wait for a Toffees goal by bagging 11-minute hat-trick

Romelu Lukaku ended a long goalscoring drought when he scored an 11-minute hat-trick to give Everton a 3-0 victory at Sunderland.

The 23-year-old scored his first goals for the Toffees since March, following his Belgium double in the international break.

Jermain Defoe had the best opportunity of the first half when the ball dropped into the box and he snatched his first-timed effort, lobbing over the crossbar from seven yards.

Duncan Watmore looked lively as he dribbled between markers before half-time, but he could not get a shot off before he was fouled.
