Strikers fail again for Sunderland as no player gets above a 6/10

Sunderland slipped out of the FA Cup at Turf Moor with barely a whimper. The 2-0 defeat to Burnley was an improvement on the 4-1 hammering they received at the hands of the Clarets on New Year's Eve but that was scant consolation for the 1,800 supporters who had crossed the Pennines hoping that a bit of cup glory might inspire the team in its quest to avoid relegation.

The succession of errors that were perpetrated that day were not repeated but the lack of quality and composure on display on Tuesday night meant that a tight, well organised Burnley side were never put under any pressure and Sean Dyche's men were able to cruise into a Fourth Round tie against former Championship rivals Bristol City.
