Jermain Defoe has confirmed his move from Sunderland to Bournemouth, admitting he has completed a medical with the south coast and the transfer itself will be officially confirmed in July.
Defoe will make the move to Eddie Howe's side on a three-year deal, as first revealed by Sportsmail in May.
The 34-year-old will leave Sunderland after two-and-a-half years in the north east, finishing last season as the Black Cats leading goalscorer with 15 strikes in all competitions.
Revealing his move in an interview with BBC 5Live, Defoe said: 'It's out there, a lot of people obviously knew, I did a medical and said when this is finished and I've had a break, come July everyone will know anyway.
