David Moyes will be Sunderland manager wherever they are playing their football next season.
The 53-year-old Scot is currently engaged in a scrap for Premier League survival with the Black Cats having once again plunged deep into the relegation mire.
However, a report this week claimed Moyes had been told by owner Ellis Short that his job is safe whatever happens over the remaining weeks of the season, and while he has insisted nothing has changed since his arrival, he has confirmed that is his understanding of the situation.
