Sunderland manager David Moyes felt the scoreline was harsh on his side after Saturday's 4-1 Premier League defeat to Arsenal at the Stadium of Light.
Alexis Sanchez gave the Gunners the lead but the Black Cats hauled themselves level through a Jermain Defoe penalty, before a brace from Olivier Giroud and another Sanchez strike killed off the game.
The defeat for Sunderland leaves them rooted to the bottom of the table, while they have now had the joint-worst start to a season in Premier League history over the first 10 games, with their tally of two points equalling Manchester City's haul in the 1995-96 campaign.
