Patrick van Aanholt’s defending is so bad that David Moyes is set to convert him into a goalscoring winger.
The Dutch left-back was dropped for Saturday’s visit of West Brom having been culpable for two of Crystal Palace’s goals during Sunderland’s 3-2 defeat at the Stadium of Light seven days earlier.
But Van Aanholt came from the bench as an attacking wideman against the Baggies and rescued a much-needed point for his manager.

Indeed, the former Chelsea defender has five goals in 2016 and only Jermain Defoe has a better return.
