David Moyes announces he will STAY as Sunderland boss after the club's relegation from the Premier League

David Moyes has confirmed he WILL be in charge of Sunderland at the start of next season.

The Scot, appointed Sam Allardyce's successor last summer, had been considering his future after the club were relegated from the Premier League last weekend.

But he has decided to continue in the job after holding talks with chief executive Martin Bain and chairman Ellis Short.

”I’ve got a four-year contract and I'll be Sunderland manager next season," he said on Friday, speaking ahead of his side's trip to Hull.

"I know what needs to be done to get back in the Premier League and I know what the requirements are to do that.
