CHAMPIONSHIP FIXTURES 2022-23: Burnley open the season with Huddersfield trip

Burnley return to life in the EFL Championship with a Friday night visit to Huddersfield, with relegated Watford hosting Sheffield United and Norwich heading to Cardiff on the opening weekend.

Newly-promoted Sunderland will host Coventry on the Sunday afternoon while Middlesbrough take on West Bromwich Albion on the Saturday teatime in another televised match.

The winter World Cup will see the Championship begin earlier than usual, with the first fixture on Friday July 29, and the final round of games on May 6.
