Burnley legend Jimmy Robson passes away aged 82 after battle with Alzheimer's as he becomes the seventh member of the Clarets' 1960 title-winning side to die from the brain disease

Tributes have been paid to Burnley legend and Championship winner Jimmy Robson, who has passed away at the age of 82.

Born in Pelton, County Durham, Robson was persuaded by a school teacher to follow his dream of being a footballer after he had told him he was set for a career down the pit.

A trial with Sunderland was arranged before he joined Burnley aged 15.
