BATON ROUGE, La. – In a game that was scoreless through the first three innings, the ULM softball squad dropped its game to No. 5 LSU, 8-0, Tuesday night inside Tiger Park.
"When you are playing against a team of this caliber you have to play close to a perfect game," ULM head softball coach Corey Lyon said. "(LSU) has great hitters. They are going to take advantage of any mistakes that you make and they did."
Junior Melanie Coyne (7-4) held LSU (14-2) scoreless until her command escaped her in the bottom of the fourth inning.
